Who is the founder?
"Zagara Wolf brings together everything that I am. As a woman, as a mother, and as a citizen. It is the fruit of a deep questioning of my life mission in the continuity of what I have always done: to do good around me in transmitting a shared story”. Guia
Guia is a woman of modern times, one who has had several lives without ever leaving herself the choice but to be aligned and authentic. Italian by origin, she has the Mediterranean in her blood, as she currently lives between Barcelona, Spain, and the island of Andros in Greece. A fulfilled mother, she is aware of her duty to pass on her knowledge to the next generation. How to consume differently to reverse the cycle? How can we raise awareness of the frenzy in our societies? Existential questions that she first explores in a career as a photographer. She then captures society and, in particular, women. A renowned photographer in the international press, she has won awards and climbed the highest ranks in the industry. After having traveled the world, the time came for introspection. The transmission call vibrates within her, and she begins teaching her art and creating personal photographic work. At the same time, and just as intuitively, she began to study plants and their medicinal virtues. Triggered by the desire to find a natural cure for a temporary personal health issue, she was pushed to explore different remedies and discovered infinite possibilities. Her journey of resilience lays the foundation for Zagara Wolf. When the world comes to a standstill and is confined, she takes refuge with her family in her paradise of Andros. There she discovers a wilderness that reigns supreme in her garden. Stretches of wild mint Officinalis give her the desire to create her first soaps from this precious ingredient. Her house is transformed into a workshop with herbalist stalls. Nature becomes her muse, from which she captures the most precious essence. Today, as always, Guia fulfills her vocation: to offer her vision of the world. This time in an object as nomadic as it is furtive, with renewable energy, that of a cold process soap made in a noble way.
Zagara Wolf soaps are handcrafted in small batches using the traditional cold processing method to preserve the nourishing properties of the plant oils. We only use natural organic ingredients that are kind to the environment. All soaps are unique pieces and can bring with them little imperfections as they are poured in molds one by one and cured for a minimum of two months. Enjoy the surprise!
